Strengths
of the Department

strength that has an additional benefit when they learn it through various
papers of literature. This develops their power of expression and communication
skills. Hindi has a developing space and market in various fields. It has
become more popular with globalization along with its rich traditional heritage
of great literature. In today’s world communication is the greatest skill.

- ·
Most
promising students from old Sahabad range comprising of four Districts i.e (Bhojpur,
Buxar, Rohtas and Kaimur). come to us.
- ·
The
Department is the proud inheritor of a rich legacy of teachers and the same is being
carried forward by its young teachers.
Weakness
of the Department
- ·
Very few
students opts Hindi (Honors) Course. The students of modern Indian languages
face a psychological problem of inferiority. Lot of them also come from humble
backgrounds, lack of confidence in students is a weakness which can be dealt with
a bit of effort by teachers.
- ·
The second
Major weakness is the setting up of curriculum. Hindi can be made more interesting
as far as the selection of content is concerned, lack of energetic involvement
of students is also a weakness.
- ·
Shortage
of teaching staff.
- ·
Shortage
of Journals and reference books.
- ·
Lack of
infrastructure.
- ·
Lack of
Departmental library.
Opportunities
Opportunities arise through our
weakness. If the weaknesses are overcome, which is very
much possible, sky is the limit.
As far as the job opportunities are concerned, Hindi graduate is eligible for
any competitive exam form UPSC to banks to other government jobs. The students
of today are aware of technology in the field of communication, information and
expression. They have vast fields of translation, advertisement and marketing
world. Most of the Universities teach Hindi. The way India is evolving in the direction
of world power more opportunities are opening for Hindi. Media and journalism
have variety of opportunities along with printing and publishing.
- · Seminars
and Conferences can be organised on regular basis mainly at the time of admission
regarding career opportunities in the field of Hindi language & literature.
Challenges
- ·
The
biggest Challenges is that foreign languages attract students more than Indian Languages.
Lack of communicating the opportunities offered by Hindi, its popularity world
over and its strength with its rich cultural heritage should be communicated to
students.
- ·
It is our
endeavor that the students passing out from the Department attain higher positions
in the administrative services. Although the situation in research, teaching and
various sectors of government services is fairly satisfactory, we’ll have to
put in extra efforts for getting similar results in administrative services.
- ·
Although
the faculty actively undertakes student-related educational research, the
funding for the same is minimal as research grants under the said head are
scarce.
- ·
Dedicated
space is required for the students and faculty to pursue research and additional projects without hindrance.
Future
Plans
- · The
department plans to encourage the students to learn about relating their knowledge
with the society, politics, economics, religion, culture with examples of
today.
- ·
Scientific
approach to apply the knowledge and curiosity to learn more will further be
developed.
- · Teachers
try to understand the talent and capabilities of various students and try to
develop that particular skill and connect it with what they study.
- ·
Establishment
of Departmental library.
- More
specific programmes for students and researchers.
